The project has been established by the Rotary Club of Burnham Beeches, in the UK, and the Rotary Club of Lilongwe, in Malawi. The Rotary Club of Burnham Beeches will liaise with the OIUK to ensure the formation of the trust banks in Malawi. The Rotary Club of Lilongwe will work with the OIBM to ensure the compliance with the operating procedures with the requirements of the project. The cooperating organization will be Opportunity International UK, (OIUK) based in Oxford UK within District 1090. OIUK operates in Malawi through its bank, Opportunity Bank of Malawi (OBIM). The target is £100,000 over three years. After 2 years £47,000 has been contributed to the project. Several trust groups will be established.

Failure of matching grant schemes will probably mean that the target will not be reached.
