A cabaret was held in lethbridge in January 2005 to raise funds for the Tsunami rebuilding efforts in Asia. The funds raised from the cabaret are to be matched by D5360 clubs, other funding partners and Opportunity International, the micro-credit organization selected to help in the countries of need. Funds were donated to Opportunity International, unsure what the status of ur donation would be, ie which country, which community, etc, etc. For everyone's information, you may be aware that there was a recent pplication made to RI for a Microcredit Rotary Action Group. This was approved by the RI Board. PDG Steve Rickard is to be the chair of this RAG.
